Narrative CV Review guidance

These resources are designed to help review narrative CVs presented as part of a funding proposal. They complement the wealth of materials available to those WRITING narrative CVs. If you’re looking for this guidance, we recommend the excellent work done by Taryn Bell at the University of Leeds to organise the many resources available.

Although comprehensive, a key challenge faced by reviewers of narrative CVs in proposals is the huge volume of material they need to manage. Whether reviewer, panel member or panel chair, we wanted to provide tailored guides that were easy and quick to engage with. We’ve been lucky enough to work with Jane Alfred of Catalyst Editorial to create these resources. Jane is a research integrity consultant who has worked extensively with the community to strengthen narrative CV writing and reviewing skills.

Each is available in three formats – a visual map of key considerations and a suggested process, a slide deck so you can easily share this with a group and a printer friendly version to reduce digital overwhelm.
