Designing an Away Day for your Research Group Toolkit
This resource is intended for research group leaders who are planning an away day with their team. It will help you clarify the purpose, plan the logistics and agenda, get people on board and ensure that you reach your desired outcome. It can be used either with or without the support of an external facilitator.
Throughout, we include the advice and voices of Future Leaders Fellows and awayday facilitators, sharing their experiences and lessons learned.
How to use this toolkit
We recommend you work through each section of the toolkit in order to make the most of it. Not all of the sections might be relevant for you, so you can focus on just the sections that you need.
