Communication and Media

Our Communication and Media events will equip you with the tools to effectively engage with the media to give your research broader reach and impact. We offer a host of sessions with experts and experienced media experts and seasoned journalists.


Collaboration and Cross Sector

We offer a number of events to foster interdisciplinary collaboration between FLFs including our In-person Crucible event. Crucible offers time and space to tackle new challenges and develop projects and ideas with your peers across specialties. Create lasting networks and expand your horizons with these events.

Explore commercialisation, translation and furthering the impact of your research with these events. These practical events demystify these areas and provide tools to expand the horizons of your research. Many of our events are delivered in collaboration with external experts including the Helix Way and Innovation to Commercialisation of University Research (ICURe).


Leadership

Our Leadership events offer support and development tailored to your own style and personality. Explore self leadership, how support your team for maximum success and set long term goals.

Our in-person Leadership Retreats offer time to focus on real challenges, have honest reflections on unconscious habits – and take away refreshed ideas adaptive to your diverse teams.

Research Culture

Research culture is an evolving landscape, we offer events to support you navigating the space and making positive change within your teams and organisations.

Making events accessible

We are committed to ensuring our events are inclusive and accessible to all members of the Network. In addition to recording upon request, we can provide auto captions and transcripts for our online events or hire BSL/English interpreters and live human transcription (online and in-person). We are aware these options are not exhaustive and will endeavour to provide any other support requested.

Family Friendly Policy
