WHAT COMMITMENT DOES THE MENTORING SCHEME REQUIRE

  • 4 mentoring sessions over 6-12 months – sessions will be organised by the mentee and are to be no more than 90 minutes per session.

  • 60 - 90-minute online orientation session meeting your mentee in a small group that provides guidance to both mentors and mentees, ensuring all engaged in the programme receive the same information

  • Forum interaction (optional) where you can discuss mentoring experiences with peer mentors

  • Support to withdraw from the programme should you feel that the relationship has run its course before the 12-month end date. Mentors and mentees can choose to terminate their relationship at any point

  • Additional optional training provided for all mentors – Refresher training, Equality, Diversity and inclusion session will be available throughout the year

  • Feedback on your experience - mid-point and end of mentoring period feedback will be gained from both mentors and mentees to continuously improve the experience for both parties.
